As I drove to work this morning I chose not to listen to Ulf Ekman’s audio book Tag och Ät/Take and Eat. Instead, I listened to http://www.klove.com/. It might be that they play some good music at times.
This morning, the hosts Jon and Sherry Rivers were amuzingly upset over the fact that their child, a five year old girl, had kissed a boy in school. This kissed caused them to talk to the girl, they talked to teachers, and teachers talked to the entire Elementary group of kids!!
I might have missunderstood some of the things that were said so do not qoute me.
My random and spontanous thought about this is: What’s the big deal?? I have kids myself and I am not looking forward to the day our two girls and two boys start to date, their first kiss, and the asking for a hand in marriage… OFTA!
But I also remember being 4, 5, and 6. I remember the innocent kiss/es. Maybe I am over reacting in my think that the radioshow hostesses overreacted. That’s whay I want to hear your take on it. Is it ok for a five year old girl and boy to exchange a kiss while playing at school?
Thanks for today!
PS. Taking a break in the baptism writing. I need to find a book that explains the history and development of baptism, but I cannot find it.
